Privacy Notice

How LinkEire and EasyShunt process personal data across the transport marketplace, and how you can exercise your data protection rights.

EasyShunt — a product by LinkEire · Last updated 18 August 2026

This notice explains what personal data EasyShunt processes and why. It reflects the platform as currently implemented. See also the Cookie Policy and Terms of Service. This notice is provided for transparency and is not a statement of legal compliance.

1.Who is responsible for your personal data

EasyShunt is an online transport marketplace and connection platform operated as a product by LinkEire, serving Ireland and the United Kingdom.

LinkEire / EasyShunt is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this notice. The exact legal entity name and registered office are being confirmed and are shown in the legal configuration block at the end of this page.

For privacy and data protection enquiries, contact contact@linkeire.com.

2.Scope of this notice

This notice covers personal data processed through the EasyShunt website and application, including the public marketplace, job posting, driver and company profiles, ports and container tracking pages, contact and support enquiries.

It describes the platform as it is actually implemented today. As new features are released, this notice will be updated.

3.Categories of personal data

Depending on how you use EasyShunt, we may process the following information.

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, account credentials and account type.
  • Company information — company or trading name, business contact details, business location, company profile content and stated transport capabilities.
  • Driver information — name, professional profile, operating area, vehicle information where provided, and licence, CPC or qualification information and verification information where these are actually collected.
  • Marketplace information — jobs posted, expressions of interest, communications and marketplace activity.
  • Contact information — contact form submissions, support requests and related correspondence.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser and device information, security and server logs, session information, and cookies or similar technologies where applicable.

We only process a category where the relevant feature is actually in use. Where a field is optional, you decide whether to provide it.

4.Purposes of processing

  • Providing and operating the EasyShunt platform.
  • Creating and managing accounts.
  • Publishing and displaying marketplace jobs and profiles.
  • Connecting job posters with drivers and transport companies.
  • Communicating with you about your account, jobs and expressions of interest.
  • Responding to enquiries, support requests and complaints.
  • Maintaining platform security and preventing abuse and fraud.
  • Maintaining technical operations and improving the platform.
  • Meeting legal obligations and maintaining appropriate records.

5.Lawful bases for processing

The lawful basis depends on the processing activity concerned. We do not rely on a single basis for everything.

  • Performance of a contract — creating and operating your account and providing the marketplace features you request.
  • Legitimate interests — keeping the platform secure, preventing fraud and abuse, understanding and improving how the platform works, and operating the public marketplace directory.
  • Consent — non-essential cookies and similar technologies where consent is required, and any optional communications you opt into. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — retaining records and responding to lawful requests where we are legally required to do so.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on you and whether your rights and interests override those interests.

6.Who personal data is shared with

Marketplace content is designed to be visible: a job you publish, and the public parts of a driver or company profile, can be seen by other users and by visitors to the public marketplace. Account credentials and private correspondence are not published.

Beyond that, personal data may be shared where necessary with:

  • Other EasyShunt users — job posters, transport companies and drivers, in the context of jobs and expressions of interest.
  • Service providers — hosting, infrastructure, security, mapping and communication providers acting on our instructions.
  • Analytics providers — only where analytics are enabled and, where required, you have consented. Analytics are not currently used.
  • Professional advisers — such as legal or accounting advisers, where necessary.
  • Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information or to protect legal rights.

We do not sell personal data.

7.Third-party services

The following third-party services are used by the current release. This list is maintained as providers change:

Mapbox — Interactive maps on the Ports and Container Tracking pages. Map tile requests include technical information such as IP address.

Hosting and application infrastructure — Serving the EasyShunt website and application. Server and security logs, including IP address.

[ADDITIONAL PROVIDERS TO BE CONFIRMED] — Authentication, email delivery, analytics and monitoring providers will be documented here once enabled. Not currently enabled in this release.

8.International data transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area, including in the United Kingdom or other countries, depending on where their infrastructure is located.

Where such transfers take place, we seek to ensure an appropriate legal transfer mechanism is in place, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. The detailed provider and transfer list is being completed and will be published here.

9.Data retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements.

Marketplace content generally remains available while your account is active. Security and technical logs are kept for a shorter period appropriate to their purpose.

Detailed retention schedule: [RETENTION SCHEDULE TO BE CONFIRMED].

10.Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and security logging. No online platform can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly about any suspected unauthorised access.

11.Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the following rights:

  • Right of access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure in certain circumstances.
  • Right to restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

You can review and change your choices at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Full detail is in the Cookie Policy.
